Carnival sunshine
Waters were rough the entire time! No one slept very good but that’s not anyone’s fault. Main dining room food was the worst we have ever experienced. We stuck with the buffet the last 2 nights as it wasn’t worth getting dressed up to eat mediocre food in the dining room. I was very disappointed as we’ve always had great food on every other carnival ship!

January 2019 - 5 Night Bahamas (Charleston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Ecstasy
3rd time on this ship, we love it’s only 15 mins from our home! Food this time around was mediocre at best. Received complimentary steakhouse selection from casino. Steaks were awful (thankfully they were free so...). My biggest complaint this time round: if you are a blackjack player and enjoy the tournament (we love them!); don’t expect much from the staff and cheating is allowed the “cheater” at our table (we both made the final 7 players) actually won. She was warned 3 times but they never disqualified her. Was extremely disappointed in this!! Other than that, ship staff was amazing as always!!
November 2018 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Epic
Cirque dinner show was a complete and utter waste of time and money! We purchased “standard seating” and were placed in a booth so far back from the center of the stage (the whole setup is awkward) and all we could see were legs dangling from the ceiling. Do NOT buy standard seats! If you want to go, splurge on the premium seating where you can enjoy the show.
September 2018 - 5 Night Bahamas (Jacksonville Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Elation
Our 4th time on Carnival and we always love it. However, 2 things: for those that want to get high, please smoke it outside and not in your room! Secondly, to the trashy woman who literally pulled out both her breasts at dinner each night to feed your baby (and would just sit there with everything showing) yes it’s your right but for the love of Christ please put a shawl or something over you. My little boy should not have to look at your boobs and nipple while eating dinner. I think the Elation staff should have been more attentive to these 2 things but other than that it was amazing as always!!

I can’t say enough!! Everything was perfect, with the exception of the first night our room (balcony room), the carpet had mildewed and was soaked. The smell was unbearable so after a day of trying to air it out we finally asked to be moved. We were told he ship was sold out but then a few hours later they moved us to a junior suite which was sweet! Staff, entertainment, food, everything’s else was amazing! I am def hooked on RC now. Thank you staff for such a wonderful vacation.

We stayed in one of the brand new suites on deck 14 - room G28. It was amazing!! Beds were so so comfortable. And the perks of having a suite were amazing! Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic
Thinking about doing the monkey excursion in Amber Cove. Has anyone done it before? Thoughts? I only saw it listed through carnival, not on the excursions listed here.
