We knew before boarding that there was a hurricane brewing in the western Caribbean and that we would most likely be rerouted and we were.It was a bit disappointing, but we were prepared and rather be safe to talk about it later.

can be better by RS1972

Ship: Wonder of the Seas

this is our second cruise on the wonder. We just completed it an hour ago. Entertainment was subpar. I hold the cruise director Dennis responsible for this. He was insipid, a sleazy guy, unfortunately overweight and could not even make any decent dance moves much as he tried. It was really awkward watching him try to jiggle his huge belly moving around. plus he made some sleazy comments during some of the game shows which we didn’t appreciate. Cruises, the cruise Director was dynamic and always was on the ball reaching out to customers constantly with updates and was very dynamic. Not in this case. The outdoor movie theatre on the 16th and 15th floor is a waste. It is completely silent in the night. In other cruise lines it is put to great use. on some nights it was only the usual activities which was just the music. There was nothing else to do. Maybe I was expecting too much but I expected a lot more. The teen club was good and my child fortunately made lots of friends on her own and she was fine. My son was not so lucky. He’s almost 19 years and there were no activities for 18 plus specifically directed by the cruise line which is what we were expecting. On Disney they have a specific cruise led 18 to 21 group to get together etc. So overall he was lonely. my wife did not like such a large ship and I think next time we will stick to the smaller ones.

Third Party (AMEX) Booking and Service by Championbroker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Wonder of the Seas

Dear Fellow Cruise Travelers: Beware of your cruise bookings through 3rd party particularly for the Royal Caribbean Cruises. We called today (7/23/2024) to confirm our reservations for family of 6 people (My family and my in-laws). The reservation was for 2 state rooms that were paid for almost 2 months ago with almost $10,000 paid upfront.  We found out that they put my in-laws on deck 10 and my family on deck 6. When we booked we were supposed to be in room next to each other. My in-laws are 75 years old and they are from India. This is their 1st cruise experience and our 2nd. We couldn’t get a confirmation of dietary preferences. We were given 5 pm. Dinner time since that was the only time available. They tried to put my in-laws at 7:45 pm waitlisted for my In-laws and my family with 2 kids at 5 pm.  The customer service is absolutely terrible, we were transferred to couple of supervisors that were based out of country and they kept apologizing and kept telling us they can’t help us we should go to the American Express since the Royal Caribbean Cruise line doesn’t prefer and service travel agent bookings.  To our surprise after 90 minutes of discussion and many transfers we were only given only first names of the people who were on the phone, Fernando, Rafael Gustavo and no last names and no email addresses and no acknowledgement of where are they from and no record of communication we had and no help except we are sorry, we can’t help you we like to help you. Lots of CRAP and no solution. We were even transferred to what they call resolution department and they kept saying that they are not able to help and they are sorry. The booking must be cremated with Royal Caribbean Cruise to get any service about your cruise and related services.  It was a HUGE surprise to us since you can not get anything done since we did not book it with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. We are almost told to bring our own food, eat at different times, live on different decks and no service since it was booked through American Express (third party).  PLEASE BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. The customer service was absolutely terrible.  Chintan Trivedi (917.637.0161) E-mail: championbroker@gmail.com

Our experience on Wonder mirrors all our other Oasis class ship trips. Only having the Mason Jar sets it above the rest. It was a highlight for us. We miss the Broadway show here.

Great ship with amazing crew. All the crew were amazing. Plenty of activities to do every day. The app was a little slow and glitchy. I definitely recommend Wonder of the Seas.

Welcome to communism prison by HMusa

Ship: Wonder of the Seas

We booked our first cruise with our daughter (3 1/2) on the Wonder of the Seas. We watched a lot of videos on YouTube and were full of joy. We actually booked the completely carefree package. That means all drinks included for me and my wife (about $1000) and WIFI, because of course I had to do some work and at least wanted to answer my email. The parking we also booked was problem-free. The shuttle to the ship works perfectly. The ship itself is magnificent from the outside. The suitcases were in the room pretty quickly. Clean room with balcony on the water side. The food in the windjammer was OK. We also booked a formal dinner (table) every day. The staff at dinner were really friendly (although provided), the food was good. Now the bad. If someone thinks they book the drinks package and everything is included, far from it. Everyone gets a card, and you get a drink just for you. If you also want a drink for your wife, the second card is required. Scanning the card takes quite a long time. The best thing is you can only have one drink every 15 minutes. I wanted to bring my wife a drink while we were at the pool, and I was using the Bathroom. The bartender screamed at me so that everyone within a 20 meter radius heard it. Your wife just got a beer, which makes me want another one. I didn't know and had the bartender give me the name. The bartender opens the beer with bare fingers. So, you have to lick the bartender's fingers when you drink. If you order a drink to your room so you don't want to deal with the guys at the bar, it's not included in the drink package, so you have to pay extra for the drink and for room service. The best thing is they also want tips. As already said, we booked the drinking package. On the third day my daughter wanted a sprite from a vending machine that is familiar from McDonald's or others. We picked up a normal plastic cup from the buffet. The machine didn't do anything. At first, I thought I was too stupid to use this thing. An employee came and explained to me that I needed a special cup that I could only get with a drinking package. Great, I have this. 20 minutes later they brought us two mugs with microchips, and it worked. This cup is linked to your room, so it monitors how much Coke or Sprite you drink. If you don't have a drinking package, no Sprite, Coke, etc. on the machine for your children. The best thing is you have to have the cup with you all the time. Total surveillance. The pool attendants are probably the last thing on this planet. I was in the children's pool with my daughter and sat at the edge with a can of Coke (not a glass). After about 3 minutes the first one came and told me rather rudely that I couldn't sit here. I asked why? It is not allowed to have drinks in the pool. I said I'm just sitting on the edge, there's no glass, and I'm just looking after my daughter, other people are sitting here with glasses and cocktails? Answer, should I repeat myself? Ok, so we walked away from the children's pool and went into the adult pool where there were also a lot of children. My daughter really only splashed around a little with her hands, none of the other guests had a problem with it, on the contrary. Next problem, Lifegard told me it's not allowed. I asked if my daughter could at least laugh or if we should go to our room to do it? A minute later another gorilla came right up to me and asked me if there was a problem. I said, do you know what, no actually not. We ended up paying around $450 for drinks even though we had booked the drinks package. This cruise line should be ashamed of ripping off and treating their guests like this. I also believe that all the videos you can find online on YouTube are paid or made by this Cruise Line. Oh yes, before I forget, my phone doesn't work either (Phone and Wife package already paid). I was at guest service who directed me to the telephone staff. No problem so far, this guy first checked whether I had booked the package, the result was positive. After about 20 minutes later he tried everything possible to set up my phone. Answer it doesn't work (iPhone 13 / one year old). Paid money again for nothing. I will never book with this Cruise Line again. It was a fight every day with some employees. This cruise line tries to take your money out of your pocket again and offers nothing in return. I get angry every day when I think back. I won't forget it in my life. If someone wanted to give me a gift and gave me a cruise with Royal Caribbean, I would break off the friendship. Again, it's embarrassing

My last cruise by phoenixbws

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Wonder of the Seas

Overall, there was a lot to do on the ship and ports. I feel that I could enjoy a vacation visiting places on land and spend much less $$$. I feel this will be our last cruise until RC raises the bar to what it once was.
