Review summary

The ship was a sister twin to the Navigator of the Seas that floats around the Caribbean. Ready for renovation this October it is kept in very very clean shape. Staff, food and all cruise items well done.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The cruise before ours had norovirus so all buffet items were served by the crew. I must say..... it rather liked it. We knew noone had their hands in the food and it was all just delicious. We would go to the Windjammer for sushi as our appetizer instead of the dining room one. Then we would go to the dining room. Loved it.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The usual variety of shows. Some better than others. Would have loved to see more productions rather than single performers. Orchestra was stunningly good as were the ice skaters.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was good. Our room staff was top notch as was our waiter. The staff in general was not as upbeat as our other experiences. Not sure why. Customer relations response to all the 8 years of under carpet dust was disappointing. Other than that.... all good. The captain was really great!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
We really liked the ship and they problably will not be replacing hundreds of yards of carpet on your cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom balcony was spotlessly kept. Very very good service. Everything we paid for.

Pros: New Zealand is the land of plenty

Cons: Royal Caribbean tore up the carpets on our floor causing 4 days of allergic headaches
