We returned from our cruise 2 days ago and I still can't adjust back to reality. We had an 8th deck promenade view room which I liked but I think it was a little too high for a good view. I think the 7th deck would have been better. The food was really good considering all of the people they have to serve. The first port was Labadee(their private island) which was a nice relaxing day. Do the waverunners there. The next day was Jamaica. If you choose to take a taxi tour, go outside of the port and get a private taxi. Don't listen to the people when you get off the boat who take you to a tour company and charge $60 to drive you around for about an hour. We were on the island about two hours and it started to pour rain. The rest of the day was ruined. We couldn't enjoy anything. Then came the real depressing part. We were scheduled to go to Grand Cayman and Cozumel next. It really never crossed my mind considering that we purposely planned our wedding for the summer time for the nice weather but there was a tropical depression out there and the captain came on the intercom and advised us that due to inclement weather we had to turn the boat around and head to Nassau, Bahamas. We spent 4 days out of 7 at sea. It got very boring. I felt really bad for the people who had already been to the Bahamas. Also, due to the storm the boat was VERY rocky (which I never expected considering its size). We chose this ship for a cruise of a lifetime and saved for a year to go and in the end we ended up being very ready to get off the ship. I did A LOT of research on the ships and ports and I never read anything about something like this happening so I wanted to give everyone a warning to remember it might not go as planned. I thought Royal Caribbean would do something for the passengers to boost everyone's mood but nothing. At least free drinks for a couple of hours, come up with another port or give us a discount on a future cruise but they did nothing. Guest Services basically has an "Oh Well" attitude and said that it is covered in the contract. Buy your T-shirts and sweatshirts on the last day-50% off. In my opinion this is an adult cruise ship. All of the teenagers seemed very bored. All they really had was a teen disco open only at night. It seemed like they were always riding up and down the elevators. Overall, the ship is beautiful and if things turn out better for your cruise, you should have a great time.
