Review summary
We have gone on two recent Carnival cruises and this Royal Caribbean cruise. The passengers on Carnival are much more immoral. For instance, because there are so many younger adults, the women 'flash' to the point of obscene around the pool, and even sometimes in food lines, etc. Homosexuals hang on to each other, and there are practically naked women from the 'shows' who hang around when people exit from dinner, still practically naked, and want photos taken with them. I HATE that. But at least they do have some entertainment available for boomers to dance! Now, the Royal Caribbean, at least the recent cruise, had a much preferable crowd of passengers. Even if any young women would have wanted to expose themselves obscenely, they didn't- at least not that I saw. We got quite bored, however. For, you see, the 'entertainment' they did have was too late at night for starting times, and what they did have did not include live 60s dance band. Even when ship is docked, or especially on 'stay on ship' days at sea, there should be something like this! We ended up going to bed too early out of lack of things for our age bracket to do, and up too early, and quite bored sometimes. There were a LOT of my age group onboard, and there was 'disco' every night for the younger adults, etc., it's like they forgot about us. Carnival is quite greedy about automatically and unethically charging people for 'gratuities', instead of giving suggested amounts and letting us tip by ourselves. Royal Caribbean did not do this to us, and we did tip genererously, but it's OUR choice. I appreciate this. I think it's 'big brother' for us not to be allowed to have our own alcohol in our own rooms- again, greed, but no cruiseline should be 'legally' able to get by with this. My problem now is this: I MUCH prefer Royal Caribbean to Carnival, for the reasons stated above, but would prefer not to go on another Royal Caribbean cruise until they have free and easy access to live 60s dance band(s), and not with late start times!Ship experiences

Pros: Great quality passengers
Cons: No live 60s dance band for boomers, and if so, needs to start early, not late at night!
