Review summary

This was our first Viking Cruise to a part of the world we had not been to previously. So much history, much of it terrible. Not the most beautiful locations, but fascinating nonetheless. Would love to go on a future cruise. Wish they weren’t so expensive.

With the exception of a couple of meals (which were average), The main restaurant and lounge were lovely and the food and drinks were great.

Onboard Activities

Walked around the top deck. Did not participate in other onboard activities.

Entertainment

Piano player was good as were the local dancers and musicians.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was wonderful and kind. The wait staff and Maitre ‘d were fabulous. We got special treatment on our 45th wedding anniversary. Dessert while being serenaded along with champagne and chocolates in our stateroom.
