Review summary

The expectation for a Viking River cruise was it was tuned for a older crowd which was the case. We may do another in the future but will likely stick with our other brands ocean cruises.

Since this cruise was piggybacked onto another trip we had no idea on how to find Viking. "Fortunately" there was a viking rep at the hotel we stayed out and she was able to provide an address. I say fortunetly because that is all she offered, since we did not book in advance they were unwilling to add transportation to the ship the day prior.

Food and Dining

Wish there were more food options outside of regular hours. Food was good but not over the top as expected. Wife had to struggle with finding vegetarian options. We had a couple of instances where things were not delivered as requested.

Onboard Activities

I understand that these cruises cater to an "older" crowd but changing demographics may require Viking to rethink this approach.

Service and Staff

Some made an attempt to get to know us and our names, others did not. Expected a little more out of Viking.

Ship Quality

We had a smell from shower drain off and on throughout the cruise. They would poor vinegar down drain from time to time.
