Review summary
The Veendam is an older ship but still well appointed and relaxing. This cruise was delightful. The seas were smooth, the ship has good stabilizers and there was very little rocking motion. The crew and staff are friendly and welcoming. Our cabin (386) was roomy, but located below the kitchen so we heard noises all night. The public rooms are spacious. The entertainment was varied and there was plenty to do every day. Once we reached Hamilton and tied up, we had almost 3 full days to explore Bermuda. We took a shore excursion tour of the islands to start out and then walked off and explored city of Hamilton the other days. We ate in the Lido Restaurant every day. The wait staff were pleasant and helpful and we had a wide variety of choices every day. We did not visit the bars or casino so I can not rate them. The return sailing was as smooth as the first leg. We had a wonderful relaxing cruise. Thanks to the Veendam staff and crew for a wonderful vacation.

Ship tip
The Veendam is a mid-size ship and does not have all the newest amenities but it is a wonderful ship for a calm, relaxing cruise.
