Review summary

This cruise was an extension of my daughter’s wedding in Florida. 16 of us came on board. At the last minute, we were notified that the itinerary had changed due to weather conditions. We were not going to go to Nassau, Bahamas and Coco Cay, But were redirected to Labadee. To find out later, that two other ships were at Coco Cay The day that we were supposed to be there. This was very upsetting as the point of this cruise was to go to Coco Cay. The ship itself being is very clean, but there are definitely issues that I saw. Below are a few issues that I want to express, 1. The karaoke bar is by far way too small. This is a popular venue and there is never anywhere to sit. 2. The rooms were very noisy. We could hear people walking in the hallways. We could hear the people in the room next-door to us, We did not have a connecting room. We could hear door slamming across the Hallway. We could also hear people above us walking around. For a new shift that should not be happening. 3. Went to the spy and spent almost $500. Got a massage and some acupuncture and during both procedures I could continuously hear on the deck above me being dropped because the weight area was right above where I was having these procedures done. This is not the Fault it’s a design of Royal Caribbean. I spent nearly $500 and walked out of there feeling completely relaxed relax I expressed this issue to Royal Caribbean with no offered. A resolution such as, a discount in what I paid or a future credit for my next cruise, neither. 4. The Windjammer. The layout is different than what I’m used to on other Royal Caribbean ships, but the real problem is the fact that the variety of food was so very limited and it was the same thing every single day. The food was very disappointing in the windjammer. Looking at social media, seeing that icon of the seas has crab legs and shrimp in their buffet and a much more expensive buffet than you utopia that’s really upsetting. 5. On board account. Because I had bookeed Five rooms for 10 people, there seem to be some kind of error on Royal Caribbean and regarding billing. I do believe I spent a total of close to four hours in the customer service line trying to get my bill resolved and cleared up and corrected. We were being charged for drinks, even though we had a drink package. They had our rooms intertwined regarding billing, so it was hard to differentiate who had to pay what. When you’re on vacation, you don’t want to spend a period of time at the customer service desk trying to get things cleared up let alone having to do it multiple times. This is Our vacation that we pay a lot of money for and wasting our time standing in line is very very frustrating. 6. Labadee, why does royal crib continue to go there. If you look on the travel advisories for the United States Citizens, I believe it’s a level four, which means we should not be going there. I know that I can choose to go on a cruise that doesn’t go there, but Royal Caribbean chose for me that I was going to go there. This whole party very much. We had zero interest in going to Labadee. To find out the night before, that’s exactly where we were going. To find out a few days later that there were two ships in Port instead of our ship. This was very upsetting. 7. Entertainment. And the day of embarkation we tried to book The entertainment shows and we were unable to. On a four day cruise there’s not enough offered for the amount of people on board. So we got to see none of the top line shows. Yet another disappointment.

Really need to book entertainment prior to embarkation day. It normally opens up to book about a week after sign in date for cruise.
