Review summary

Chose this cruise because of the price and also because we had never sailed on Princess. you get what you pay for - I've done the coastal sailing on other lines and because there were very limited port stops, they seemed to do everything possible to make the activities on-board as interesting and exciting as possible. Also - even if you didn't want to do any activities, the food on most other cruise lines gave you something to look forward to. We ate on Princess because we were hungry - not because the food was great - it wasn't.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
I've had better food in Hospitals. What a disappointment. The food in the buffet was so unappetizing that even my son, who eats anything, didn't want it. We opted for a specialty dining one night and that was a bit better but nowhere near some of the dining venues on other cruise lines. I had heard that Princess was a highly rated cruise line - will not waste my money with them, again.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Not much to do on the whole cruise - expected some sort of activities since we had no port stops. Evening entertainment was OK but the days were very boring - especially since the food was nothing to look forward to. Even tho the pool was covered, it was never opened.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Just OK - nothing fabulous or memorable.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Room was clean but this was the first cruise after dry dock and reno's. Nothing special - no towel animals, no personal interaction but the beds were good and comfortable.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
I guess we've been spoiled by some of the other cruise lines - nothing on this ship would make me want to try Princess again.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Older ship so really shouldn't complain about the design but so much wasted space in a huge closet - the room could have used the extra footage.

Ship tip

make sure you are going to lots of ports cuz the ship is BORING
