Star Princess

10 Night Mexico (San Francisco Roundtrip)

Sail date: November 14, 2014

Ship: Star Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

This ship does not compare favorably with the many others we have cruised. The central lobby is small and unimpressive, the elevators and meal service slow, the golf links a joke. There is no such thing as a really bad cruise but the Star Princess comes close. Cabin Steward good and spots of good service

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Slow service and limited choices.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
One pool crowded with children, the other freezing.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Crowded ... too many people, too little seating.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Long in tooth

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Do not use the medical facilities if you can avoid them. They are a separate company contracted by Princess and service/costs are unacceptable. Any time dining doesn't work well ... get regular seating if you can.
