Review summary

We chose this cruise because of its itinerary that it will stop at the French Island of St. Pierre but we were disappointed the port was cancelled due to bad weather. Since the price includes all drinks but they should offer a discount for those who do not drink any wine or alcoholic beverages. Also, the butler service is not really necessary for us.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
They let us check-in early before the official 2pm check-in time which is nice!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The same food is served in the restaurants so it can get really boring.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not much onboard activities available other than a short time for table tennis, golf, trivia and bingo.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The young dancers are very good and entertaining. The magician was also very good. The singers and the bands are good. However, the shows lack variety and can become really boring.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff are cheerful and nice except that they do not enforce straight personal hygiene in serving. We caught one sever sneezed and blew his nose at the service counter and he did not clean his hands before serving food! We also cauther a staff at the boutique who seemed to have a cold as he was having running nose and coughing but he didn't wear a mask and still had close contact with customers!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The windows are always foggy and dirty and we were unable to take any picture from the windows.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The Vista Suite is comfortable with a good size walk-in closet. The only problem is the bathroom does not have an outlet for hair dryer. The hair dryer outlet is by the window which is very inconvenient.

Ship tip

It is a small ship so can be very rocky especially on the day with gusty wind and heavy rain.

Gaspe, Quebec

4 out of 5
The long ride from the port at Gaspe to Percé (over an hour) on the school bus was bumpy and uncomfortable. The excursion to cruise around the Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island was good.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The disembarkation is smooth using the different coloring system with clear announcement.
