This was the trip of a lifetime. The one caution I have does not reflect on SilverSea at all - it's the Chilean government. Perhaps you could provide some extra guidance on filling out all those forms. Our traveling companions were sent back to the US because the forms were not completed correctly. I am sorry they missed an outstanding experience.
Embarkation

Checking in was done outside where it was drizzling and windy. Good practice for the trip!

Food and Dining

The food was outstanding, and the wine was, too. Every day was different, and the chef was imaginative in taste and presentation.
Onboard Activities

There was information about our destination everywhere. From postings on the bulletin boards to lectures by absolutely wonderful naturalists, we definitely knew what to expect. I only wish some of the naturalists had time to go into greater depth. The talks were 30 minutes.
Entertainment
We went to bed too early
Service and Staff

I have never had service so kind and personal. Even the person dishing my oatmeal in the morning knew my name. How do they do that?! When I did the polar plunge, our butler was waiting for me at the top of the stairs with a fluffy robe. Service was not stuffy at all, and our butler chatted with us often, and we got to know a bit about him. Pilar the housekeeper always had a smile for us. Everyone was so genuine.

Public areas were being constantly cleaned. I felt safer on the Explorer than I would have at home.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were #429. As long as we used our suitcases (under the bed) for storage, we were all right. That was partly because we had extra days in Santiago so we needed clothes for hot and cold.
Ship tip
Remember that there is a self service laundry. It came in very handy.
At lunch, all the silverware slid off our table! Outbound was pretty rough the first day - we were on Level 4 and waves smacked against our window like a car wash. It was very cool.
