First cruise ever. Wasn’t thrilled about going cruising before I left but wanted to support my mother still travelling. Had done large amount of land based travel around the world and thought cruising sounded boring. The cruise with Princess totally changed my mind and have loved cruising ever since. Most relaxing holiday
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Was very happy at the time (as first cruise) looking back now though it was a very drawn out process back then with a lot of paperwork to complete just prior to boarding - all now really quick and streamlined. Fremantle is a good port to disembark from
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

All excellent, back then had fixed time dining
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
First sea cruise ever (apart from Nile and Rhine river cruises). Loved all the activities and tried ‘everything’ on offer, all the activities, all the shows, casino, spa (pricey). Turned a non believer into a total convert

Ship Quality

Love the Sea Princess and booked our 2nd cruise on it also
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Interior cabin as booked 2 weeks before and only cabin available. Travelled with Mum (80s) and sister and husbands were back home. First cruise ever and very happy with interior. Would always be happy to travel interior again even having tried nearly all of the other options. Princess have often upgraded us
Ship tip
There are some saunas and steamroom worth trying near spa, free for all to use. We had a cycle between pool/spa/sauna and steamroom. Great showers in spa area too with lots of spare towels
Took a pre organised trip with a driver for the day. He was excellent and went to Ubud and Sanur. Massage, swimming, shopping. Couldn’t believe though how extremely busy the traffic is now and didn’t get to all places planned as too many cars. Have been to Bali 8 times before (land trips) and it’s certainly no longer the paradise island we first saw in 1983. Big delays with tender back to ship this day due to weather- unfortunately no seats for most people in the terminal making it very hard for some older travelers
Incredible opportunity to visit Komodo Island and see the ‘dragons’ as part of Princess tour. Good to view them within a couple of metres. Later taken on the tour to a lovely swimming beach
Free local bus back then. Lots to see and fantastic town to walk around shops, markets and eateries. Stay overnight in Perth Central and took a scenic boat down the Swan River to join the cruise at terminal which was a short walk away
