Review summary

Very enjoyable vacation. Especially liked Uniworld boutique style ship with less passengers than most river cruises. Highly recommend Uniworld river cruises.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Highly recommend arriving before your cruise departure day. The river cruise has a busy excursion schedule and you won't want to miss any of it. We flew in a few days early and drove to San Sebastian, Spain. Bordeaux airport is easy in and out. Car rentals are right outside of baggage pick-up area and with the car's GPS it was a simple drive - just a couple hours on the freeway to get to Spain from Bordeaux.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Great wines, don't need to purchase premium wines at dinner.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was exceptional. Small number of passengers means more attention by staff, which is one of the reasons we chose Uniworld.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Small boutique ship means small rooms, but it was extremely comfortable and well-serviced.

Ship tip

It doesn't matter what room you choose, they are all comfortable with easy access to everything you need on ship. Our friends actually preferred their room on the lowest level of the ship as it seemed more private.

Great itinerary, we loved Saint Emilion! Really like your idea of a side trip to Spain, we need to try that next time we visit Bordeaux. Do you recommend any hotels or restaurants in San Sebastian? Thanks for the review!
