Review summary

Everything was going great until Queen Mary 2 arrived in Hamburg.🤢 People walking around knocking on doors for no reason, dressed in public places like they just crawled out of bed. I know Octoberfest is soon, and maybe they were celebrating early. But the staff needs to enforce the dress code rules regardless if some passengers are on for only 2 or 4 days. I've been to Germany before, more than 20 years ago and the experience was the same.

Solo cabin on deck 2. It's more narrow than the ones on deck 3. But an excellent view and secluded. It's hard to snag deck 3 cabins, unfortunately, so I ended up with deck 2. I was only in this cabin for 4 nights. Round trip from Southampton to Hamburg.

Ship tip

Don't do the short cruises on Queen Mary 2 or you'll get a lot of passengers who only want to be there to get drunk and party, who do not participate at all in the dress code.

The people, no matter where I visited while walking around were rude. In town and on the ship. They either don't know or don't care to know how to say excuse me, or thank you. They all had, what I would call.... prune faces. Even the security officers at the port were worse than Brooklyn cruise terminal, if you can believe that. There's no need at all to scream at everyone standing in line. Totally ridiculous.

Very easy and organized. Walked straight off the ship without standing in line.

@cruising2004...Yes, you said it perfectly. The ship, staff and other passengers were fine, as a few spoiled the voyage.
