Really exceptional cruise with just a few minor glitches. The best part was the crew - from the Captain on down. They were all courteous and willing to help out with a positive attitude.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Too crowded probably due to late arrival of ship
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food overall quality was good. We didn't notice that many significant differences between Princess Grill menu and food quality (this cruise) and many other trips when we ate in the main (Brittania) dining room. The Verandah restaurant had really high quality food, but the menu was not as varied as on pervious trips.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Concerts, lectures, evening shows and the like were exceptional
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We thought the instrumental groups and solo performers were outstanding, especially the pianists, from the classic pianist on board to the pop and jazz pianists in the bars and lounges.
Children's Programs
no kids in tow
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The wait staff was exceptional, the room steward was on top of his game and the concierge was very helpful
Ship Quality

Queen Mary 2, being designed for the North Atlantic and more open ocean cruising. needs to be more seaworthy than island cruisers. Her design allows for smoother sailing in rough seas and more protection than other ships e.g. sheltered balconies. Common areas were clean and the entire vessel seemed well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin size was luxurious. The cabin started out clean and was kept that way thoughout the voyage. Did not appreciate the high lip on the tub-shower combination.
Ship tip
Try a lunch at the Verandah and late evening cocktails at the Commodore Lounge. The library is outstanding; most readers will find a lot to choose from.g
One of our favorite ports. If you take an excursion try to include Peggy's Cove and/or the shore down to Lunenburg. You can just walk around the harbor area - it's really tourist friendly
Was disappointed the Cunard could not tell me before embarkation where the"shuttle" would drop us off. We could've planned our day better had we known earlier. There are lots of things to see and do in Boston.
