Review summary

Worst cruise! If this had been my first cruise on the Pacific Princess, there would not have been a second. Big bad changes in about 16 months. First cruise was the Panama Canal which was wonderful.

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Quality of food has fallen off in the last 16 months. Requested and was confirmed for a table of 4. At the first seating, the table was for 8! I requested to speak to the Maitre d' but he managed to avoid me for the entire meal, even after several requests to the staff. It took a written complaint before the situation was corrected.

Your comment regarding the low backed chair at the desk caught my attention, as we had one of those also but up on deck 8 in a mini, 8050 and a year before that we were in 8000, since I only used the desk chair when I worked on my lap-top the low back was fine. We just got off the ship Feb. 14th. So then I checked the schematic for "balcony' cabins. I see what you mean, the only inside chair is that low backed one except for a large overstuffed chair. One would have to bring a balcony chair inside in order to watch T.V. comfortably. Then, I looked at the current schematic for our mini-suites, it showed only the desk chair, the couch, and another larger chair but with only a low back too, no inside table either. I took pictures inside our cabin(s) to prove that we had a table and two high backed chairs, a couch, as well as the one low back chair at the desk (this was the same in both our cabins) . There was more than ample room within the mini-suite for all this. I will be very unhappy if they have decided to do away with the inside table and the two high backed chairs. I wonder what gives? Check my picture of the inside of our cabin in my review.

Do you mind elaborating on some of the changes you didn't like? Thanks.
