Review summary

The service was great but since the dropping the mandatory covid boosters which has caused cruising to become the most used mode of vacations, the quality of the food has declined. It's not only RCCL, but others are also the same. I would rather have less selection but better quality of food.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little confusing but due to the medical emergency causing a docking delay, I think all went well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The service was the best. With cruising now in full swing after Covid, I feel all companies are cutting back on their quality to help recoup some of their losses.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Did not do any activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Enjoyed some of the entertainment. Although the group entertainers were extremely talented, I thought their shows were a little confusing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service staff was the best. We did ask the Main dining room supervisor about possibly changing our table during our first night's dinner but he never got back to us.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was great. Was disappointed in that the lifeboats were below us so our sight was obstructed when we looked straight down. Also the sofa was very hard. You had to sit down gently. A suite should have a little more cushion on the furnishings. Our room steward, Jolly Jill was great. She was johnny on the spot.

Ship tip

One step under the Oasis ships. Enjoyed Sorrento's

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

Cruise Napali Coast, Kauai

4 out of 5
Would rather have docked at another port in Maui.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Would rather have had 1 less day on the Big Island to have 1 day at a port in Maui. There were plenty of sights to see plus it would have helped the Maui economy.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Always love Vancouver.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A little confusing due to having a 12-delay docking from a medical evacuation.
