Review summary

Being our first cruise we had no idea on what to expect. We had a great time, with the exception for being unwell.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation was very streamlined & simple. It took no time at all & we were on board within a very short period of time with the whole process being very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only used the buffet as we were unsure as to what other Restaurants we were able to attend as part of our package. It would have been good to have a brochure in our room to let us know what our package covered & what areas/restaurants we were able to use.

Onboard Activities

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We found our room was not cleaned as we would have expected. When we first entered our room, there was a chair that had old food on it. We reported this to the information desk. Also once we used the tea bags & sugar in our room on the first morning, it was not replaced for the rest of our cruise. It was also disappointing to only have one of the towel animals on our bed on one day only. It was something we were looking forward to seeing & we had friends on the same cruise that had one left in their room each day it was made up.

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was amazing, but we were slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of the room.

Ship tip

My first piece of advice would be to attend the Medical Centre as soon as you board & obtain some sea sickness tablets. This way you can access them immediately if you need them. I suffered terribly after the first night & lost a whole day being sick as it took most of the day to feel well enough to even go to the Medical Centre to get the tablets to take.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Very easy, but would have liked a bit more information about the disembarkation process. Our friends on board had advised us that we would be able to leave as late as we wanted, only to find the next morning that we needed to be off early.
