Review summary

Don’t get me wrong, after almost 2 years of having my cruises cancelled, I’m THRILLED to be back onboard!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We were lined up by boarding times. If you had the Key, you went into a separate line, but again, by boarding times. Once it started, things went smoothly. However, there was a delay somewhere along the process and we weren’t allowed onto the ship at our boarding time. We had to sit in the waiting area for about 45 min.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room food was never hot, sent food back a lot. First night, escargot was room temperature, not hot. Breakfast this morning (12/4), omelet was hot, but hash browns cold. Coffee was warm not hot. The best coffee was ordering it every morning via room service! Piping hot and delicious!

Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine

NOT TO BE MISSED!!!! The only item I didn’t care for was the Red and White Tuna roll. The short rib was so tender , and they give you do much of it! And try the Cheshire Cat Cosmo! Cotton Candy in a drink!!??? Uhh, YES PLEASE! Tomato water was excellent, OH!!! And the Liquid Lobster! The Bird’s Nest, fun. The shrimp appetizer was excellent! I was so full after all of that food, I had no room for dessert!!! So I’m going again on the next cruise (Dec 4). It’s a VERY SMALL venue, but the food presentation is incredible!

Diamond Lounge

Mornings were not too crowded. Good breakfast selection. Evenings? Appetizers not served til about 5 pm. GET THERE EARLY if you want a decent place to sit! Like before 4:30! Everyday massively crowded.

Izumi Japanese Cuisine

LOVE LOVE LOVE IZUMI! Try the Champagne Lobster roll! I’m addicted to it, but in a good way😁

Casino Royal Bar

5 out of 5

The only place I could get a good Strawberry Pina Colada! If you can, bring your own straws, they only have paper ones🤢🤮

El Loco Fresh

3 out of 5

Didn’t care for the burritos. Gonna try the quesadillas next time

Playmakers℠ Sports Bar & Arcade

4 out of 5

Went there once, for lunch. I had the Poke nachos! OMG! SOO GOOD!!! The chips are fried wontons. You have tuna, salmon and avocado chunks with some amazing sauce over it! DEFINITELY GETTING THAT AGAIN!🤤

Ship Quality

Ship cleanliness is OUTSTANDING! Ship’s design, to be determined by individuals. I myself, prefer the Oasis, Freedom, Voyager and Radiance class. Oasis class and Freedom are the front runners. I’m glad I got the chance to experience a Quantum Ultra class tho. I just don’t care for the chaotic layout.

Cabin / Stateroom

Bed was firm and comfortable. Love the new shower enclosure. The shower head was AMAZING! At first it was just a typical shower head with a rain shower feature. Nothing spectacular. UNTIL! I discovered that there is a little “Select” button that let’s you select the setting!!! I found the perfect setting that gives you the best water pressure! Cabin is a decent size, balcony is a good size as well. Lots of drawers, 2 decent sized closet for clothes.

Ship tip

If you plan to do specialty dining, book them as soon as you board. Same with any shows you want to see. If you have a dining package, let your server know upfront, especially at Playmakers. It won’t appear on your SeaPass card, but if you have a beverage package, it will show up on your card. The layout of the ship is chaotic. If you want to go to Playmakers, you have to go to deck 15, then walk upstairs (in the Seaplex) to get to Playmakers. For those who can access the Diamond Lounge, go ALL the way forward on Deck 4, turn right at the Royal Theater and wind your way around to the other side of the staircase. Esplanade is more of a zig zag path.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

No excursion, just wanted to mention that unless you are in a suite or you are Pinnacle, Diamond Plus, the Key, and Diamond, are all lumped together in the usual waiting area. Very unorganized.
