Review summary

This ship is definitely geared towards the family cruiser (activities, rides, restaurants). It was "too much" ship for me (and to think they are building larger ships). Not saying I did not like the ship, but if you are looking to "chillax," this may not be the ship to choose.

Onboard Activities

There were several activities scheduled BUT due to the cold weather most people were inside, therefore ALL the events were PACKED - could not enjoy them. The cruise should have planned for such a thing and PERHAPS moved some of them to a venue that could accommodate the larger crowd. Ex. Adult "Zen" coloring had so many people, there were not enough seating, they ran out of pencils PLUS they were not prepared - most of the pencils weren't sharpened - about time the "host" arrived with a sharpener, the 30 MINUTE event was over.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Aqua 80s was awesome - too bad original reservation was changed to a time of an EXISTING reservation (why would they do that?). I would think that when a Broadway show is chosen for a cruise, that it would be uplifting and/or interactive (making people want to clap and/or sing along). Cats is NOT a good choice. Many people left during the show - my friends thought it was boring and did not understand the storyline.

Children's Programs

No children

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
There was some shoddy repair work I saw

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The double bed was "separated" to singles, but space between them was less than 12 inches - better floor planning needed

Ship tip

The best part of the ship, in my opinion, was the Adult Only Solarium

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

This port should be expanded to provide more transportation access. It is too close to NYC to not have buses and/or transport to a bus/train for NYC and/or Newark Airport. A couple's transportation fell through when returning, and was quoted $150 to get a ride to Manhattan. Fortunately/unfortunately we squeezed them into our vehicle to assist them.

Thank you for your review. Sounds like a smaller cruise ship maybe a better experience in the future.
