Review summary

We loved the cruise, with excellent ports of call, marred only by the failure of an engine in Singapore meaning we missed both Bangkok and Saigon, but were well compensated by Norwegian immediately a major problem became apparent.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved the freedom to choose the restaurant on the spur of the moment, and to choice a time based on our whim.

Onboard Activities

We loved "Name that tune" trivia, but it was erratic when being held and then suddenly completely cancelled. It was extremely popular and we had great fun with it when it was held.

Service and Staff

Rick, Rene, and Loan were fantastic in the Five O'Clock somewhere bar throughout the cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was a full king size which was excellent, but it left maneuvering round the room a little tight at times.

If you fancy the High Tea at the Palace Hotel, book it yourself and avoid the ship's tour.

Muscat, Oman

4x4 desert ride was excellent

Sanya, Hainan Island, China

If you get a Sanya By Yourself tour, be aware that you are dumped on the outskirts and noone spoke any English. Make sure you get a map and know where they are letting you off/picking you up.
