Review summary

The ship is showing its age. The different areas of the ship are showing wear and tear and are not up to the standards of a newer ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The Dining options are freestyle but the quality of the food is not very good. The best dining room is the main room at the aft of the ship. The service is the best overall and the food was a little better. Aqua and Ginza the Asian fusion restaurant was a joke. 15$ cover fee each plus the cost of Sushi which was not up to par. The food for the most part has no flavor and is loaded with salt and fillers.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was OK. Being as I am a little younger than the average person cruising\, I have no complaints. With the exception of the white party on Thursday night\, the majority of the shows were geared to the older crowd.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew was very friendly and professional.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Again\, this ship is older and was refitted a few years ago but it is dated and showing its age.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our room was clean and well taken care of by our room steward. The bathroom was larger than on some other ships and in good shape.

Pros: Ease of leaving and arriving back to the ship in port.

Cons: Food Quality.

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.
