AWFUL VACATION

Sail Date: September 02, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Everything costs extra; entertainment is below par, and the assistant cruise director was awful (didn't even speak fluent English); food was made for quantity instead of quality and even the things you had to pay extra for were bad (the sushi was very bland), some staff in the gift shop seemed untrained and the crew seemed condescending at times when they approached you saying \"washie washie\" or \"wakey wakey\"... I could go on and on!

Cons: Everything costs extra; entertainment is below par\, and the assistant cruise director was awful; food is quantity instead of quality and even the things you have to pay extra for were bad (the sushi was very bland)\, some staff in the gift shop seemed untrained... I could go on and on!

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Ship Quality
an older ship without some of the attractions and activities that we have come to love and expect on a cruise ship.
Food and Dining
food was qualitatively low
Cabin / Stateroom
For the price the cabin was rather decent sized. Mattresses were hard as rocks.
Service and Staff
Seemed untrained or uncertain of what to do at times...
Entertainment
not much to offer. The few shows or interactive games were poorly executed.
