A Scenic Cruise

Sail Date: September 01, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

We were pleased with the ports of call tours available to experience Alaska.

Pros: Freestyle cruising allowed "eat when you want to" meals and casual wear.Crew members were friendly and food was good. All else, pretty much the same as other cruise lines.

Cons: Freestyle also meant cover charge for restaurants that specialized in specific cuisine, e.g., Italian, Japanese (sushi), etc. Also, there was only ship-provided laundry service. There was no laundry facility (washer/dryer/iron & board) directly available to passengers.

Recommends Norwegian Star? Yes!
