Douglas Fox Review

Sail Date: March 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

Ship was excellent, beautiful decor, pleasing layout of public and private rooms.

Pros: Ship, Crew, children friendly atitude, mix of cruising & shore days

Cons: AA Cruise service was non existant, Poolside music was terrible.

Recommends Norwegian Star? Yes!

Children's Programs
Our grandchildren participated once & felt they were put there as punishment rather than to have fun.
Entertainment
nothing ereally special & as mentioned above the Pool side entertainment, a group called Excite was more of a reason to leave the pool rather than to stay. THey were terrible, very poor choice of music, most songs ended in some sort fo shouting & screaming
Ship Quality
Could benefit from another pool. The only pool is more a play (& on our Cruise during Spring Break drinking venue for coeds) area than a relaxing pool.
Food and Dining
Food was plentiful and reasonable quality. Fomal dining experience was excellent although I thought the menue lacked creativity, wine was very poor quality for the price.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a balcony & it was perfect.
