Review summary

Our expectations were exceeded. We were both skeptical going on a cruise, as we are aggressive international travellers, and were accustomed to sophisticated travel to elegant destinations ( including Bermuda ), but our preconceptions of " a cruise " suggested a geriatric floating retirement home where food was the drug of choice. Our expectations were exceeded in that although our cabin was tiny, it was livable. The Karoake bar was especially enjoyable. We ate in the Bistro 4-5 nights - it was very good, the staff was superb as they got to know us, but rather than be a premium venue it should have more reflected the standard.. The reservation Italian Restaurant was a disappointment - very few choices, hardly Italian. The casino was very good . We spent a lot of time there. Our evenings would go: casino, dinner, casino, karoake, casino. We liked to stay up late and wished that a sit down breakfast was served later. Or, that FAP breakfast was available through room service. We had expensive massages, but they were very good. All in all, we felt as if we were "settling" for your cruise, as it was time sensitive, but were generally pleased. The abundant negatives on the boat, which we mostly avoided through planning, could be relatively easily altered. You could, with minor changes, move from good to excellent or best.

Need late breakfast. Bistro should be standard, not premium

Service and Staff

Rating needs comment. Many were indifferent. Several were extraordinary. Example - our server in the Bistro has skills, personality, etc to be a restaurant manager. The casino CSR and several of the dealers were stars. One or two pit personnel were stars. As we enjoy Karoake, some nights the leader was excellent, other nights - poor. All of them were uncomfortable with the technology.Their perosnality overvcame. You need one karaoke-meister, professional.Cleaning staff were adaptive - we usually slept late. I disliked Deck 10 and the staff there contributed to dislike.

Don't Miss: Need more high-end excursions; tap into Hamilton sophistication

Don't Miss: Need more high-end excursions; tap into Hamilton sophistication

Pros: Karaoke, Casino, Food

Cons: Although customers were diverse, deck 10 was targeted to "spring break" demographic; breakfast & lunch in main dining rooms were not long enough
