Norwegian Majesty

7 Night Bermuda (Baltimore Roundtrip)

Sail date: July 12, 2009

Ship: Norwegian Majesty

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Norwegian Majesty is old for a "top line" cruise company and is due to be retired. She is showing her age and too much rust with too many malfunctions - i.e. one engine was inoperative for our return trip which necessitated leaving earlier than originally scheduled. Cold drink dispensers and ice machines did not work properly. Tables on the pool deck were stained, upholstery in the theater was stained and torn. Water was seen to be leaking in the stair well on deck 5 and 6.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Vegetarian offerings were inadequate in the main dining rooms but was just satisfactory in the buffet. A somewhat limited choice for breakfast. Insufficient seating in the Cafe Royale.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The "Vybes" group on the pool deck were too loud and monotonous. The "Standing room only" group in the main theater were very good, as was the ventrlloquist.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin stewardess was very friendly and helpful.
