Review summary

Although the Majesty is an old ship, the crew takes pride in it's upkeep. You would never know it wasn't the newest ship in the fleet. Plenty of places to eat and a few stores (that are open only while at sea). There are nice places to relax and look outside, quiet places for breakfast and lots of things to explore. And if you get sick like we did, don't hesitate to go to medical. It is inexpensive and they are surprisingly well stocked. The crew knew us by name! We have no idea how they do it but it was incredible. During one of the shows, the entire crew came out to thank the passengers (waiters, stewards, the captain, etc.) but they were the ones that got a standing ovation from the entire audience so we are not alone in our feelings about them!

Food and Dining

The food was incredible and had an amazing variety. We had everything from Duck Flambe to Escargot. There are several restaurants to choose from and a couple that run 24 hours. Oh and dont hesitate to try the grill at the back of the ship. They have more than just burgers and hot dogs! I wish we found them earlier.

Entertainment

For a small ship, they make the most of every piece of space. I went to a creative writing class two of the days, we went to about 6 shows with very high quality entertainers (one singer had just performed for the Queen), and there was always something going on at the pools. You will not be bored on this ship.

Service and Staff

They will do anything for you! I would go on NCL again just for the crew! We had them go to one of the restaurants to bring my wife ice cream at night, they made towel animals during out turndown service (and showed us how to make them) and as I mentioned before, called us by name. It was tough coming home and not having anyone call me "Mr Erik" anymore.

Ship Quality

The only thing I can say bad about the ship is that the elevators are slow but there are so many of them that it doesnt matter. You'll want to take the stairs after all that food anyway.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a suite towards the front of the ship on the 9th deck which was partially blocked by a lifeboat. One room back from us would have had a perfect view. The room was well laid out and had lots of room. The suites are about the size of a small hotel room.

Ports of call

St. George's, Bermuda

Not much to do on the island, at least not in St Georges. We did the snorkeling and glass bottom boat but the reefs are very gray in Bermuda because they are far north. The best part of the island though are the caves. If you like exploring, plan lots of cave excursions!

Don't Miss: The Adventure Cave tour at Grotto bay! You can swim in a crystal cave. An unforgettable experience.

Pros: The crew and the cleanliness of the ship.

Cons: No store for general supplies (sun lotion, tylenol, etc.)
