Review summary

The Norweegian Dream seems old, tired, dirty and ready to be put out to pasture. It was nearly impossible to find someone to help us with deck chairs, bar services, etc. On debarkation, our hanging bags were delivered to us in a ball with all items off the hangers and unwearable. The food was generally very bad except breakfast. One meal prompted us to leave the restaurant without eating because the food was so bad. Low quality food prepared badly. Even though the restaurants would not take reservations, the wait to be seated often ranged from one to two hours. Ship's personnel seemed interested only in providing services that were to the NCL's benefit e.g. selling jewelry. I could go on but, hopefully, you get the idea. A cruise is a wonderful vacation but not on the Norwegian Dream.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Poor quality food prepared badly. Delivered cold even though it seems like it had been under a heat lamp for hours. The "good restaurant" Le Bistro required a $50 supplement per couple.

Entertainment

With the exception of Karen Martin (piano and singer) who was excellent.

Service and Staff

Crew was very friendly but seldom available to provide service.

St. George's, Bermuda

Our cruise arrived in Bermuda during Cup Match (national holiday) (even though we were not informed until well at sea). We were docked 1/2 Tuesday, all of Wednesday and Thursday and 1/2 Friday. Most of the island was shut down on Thursday and Friday including all major shops. Bermuda remains a lovely destination.

Pros: Destination of Bermuda

Cons: Norwegian Dream

Recommends Norwegian Dream? No.
