Perfect Cruise To Discover Alaska by wallyworldman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

As I mentioned, in room TV was a joke. No drawers anywhere to put anything. No lighting by the closets. I had to hang a flashlight to see my clothes.

Great Itenerary but worst ship ever!! by jbjr40

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

thin curtains didn't keep heat out of room so ac didn't keep room cool, had a broken chair on verandah and requested it be replaced with a lounge chair like others had and was told "NO" had to keep what we had, then when they would clean 9th floor back pool/deck all the dirt would fall on our verandahs staying filthy to where no one would hardly use them!! Will never book another aft room!!

Great vacation! by SergioK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Cabin was OK. It had all we needed, although it felt smaller than in other ships. We had enough space for all our stuff. We really like the bathtub on Holland American ships. Other cruise lines have a shower enclosure, which feels cramped. The cabin attendants were good.

Spectacular Alaskan Cruise by shirkeyj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Noordam / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Obviously cruise ship cabins are small, but was pleasantly surprised. We had two twin beds and still had a seating area. The balcony helped to make the room seem more open. The cleanliness of the cabin was very good I don't know how our steward knew when we were out but he always came at the right times! It was a little adjustment to the twin beds, but they were comfortable. The balcony area seemed a little dated, furniture not great, and quite a bit of rust in the corners. However, the size wasn't bad.
