Lovely ship, staff very friendly, entertainment excellent but food a very big let down.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Was on the ship by 10.30am. Our room was ready at 2pm. Only had to show your passport, they took your photo and then you got the cruise card. Didn't ask any questions about medication or travel insurance.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Extremely disappointed with the choice of food, or the lack of choice!. Unlike other MSC ships we've been on, we always had a great choice but with MSC W.E. it lacked choice, in both the MDR restaurant and buffets. Went to MDR restaurant on three occasions and it took them 2 hrs to serve us our 3 course meals. I understand that the waiters are extremely busy with the crowds, but being left sitting there between courses isn't acceptable, hence why a lot of people didn't bother using the MDR restaurants! Didn't do specialty restaurants but heard they were excellent!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Not much activities on board, a few games in the main pool area during the day. Did the venom slide, from deck 18 to deck 8, took approximately 20 seconds, well worth it, very enjoyable.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The best entertainment ever at sea. Hats off to the entertainment team, in both world theatre and panoramic lounge, absolutely blown away by their talent.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Bar staff in the masters of the sea's we're very nice, they made sure your glasses were always topped up. On the second last night and last night, they had no Malibu or Bailey's, all out they said, so we went to the casino bar and got the above drinks there. I don't understand how one bar can be fully stocked up with drink and the other is all out! You buy drinks package, surely they should make sure that they are fully stocked up! Room was alway clean. Staff from speciality restaurants always trying to sell you deals. And as for the photographers, they're around everywhere asking you to pose for photos, but that's normal for MSC ships anyways!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship is lovely but have been on nicer looking MSC ships. No walking/running track, which is a big let down. Elevator system is great.
Cabin / Stateroom

Had promenade balcony, could hear noise from promenade during the night and early morning. Wouldn't recommend a promenade balcony.
Got off the ship, walked around for a while, not much to see. MSC put on a BBQ but didn't stay on the island for it. The loungers were very uncomfortable.
Lovely port with loads of shops. What a beautiful city, so much to see and do. We did hop on hop off bus. Got the bus just outside cruise terminal, didn't book through msc excursion.
We checked in our bags with Emirates in the cruise terminal the evening before disembarking, which is brilliant. Our flight wasn't until 7.05am but had to leave the ship at 2.30am. The airport is only approximately a 20 minute drive away.
