We were a little nervous about MSC after reading reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely sail them again. Ocean Cay is my new favorite cruise line private island.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Never stopped walking from the time we dropped our bags with the porter to the time we stepped on the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Loved the varied buffet choices. We dined in our assigned restaurant every night and were very happy. We ate breakfast/brunch in the sit down restaurant whenever we could. The pizza on the buffet was the best I have had on any cruise ship (previously sailed with Disney, NCl, Royal, Princess, and Carnival.) We don’t have little kids anymore but I thought the kids only buffet line was such a great idea!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
So many choices: trivia, scavenger hunts, arts/crafts, karaoke, silent disco, deck/atrium parties nightly, etc. You will not be bored on this ship!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Loved the shows. It was a new production for 6 nights and a comedian for one of the nights in the main theater. They also have a venue called Cafe Rouge that had nightly entertainment. Plus all the live music throughout the ship. The dueling pianos had several shows nightly. Lots of choices!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The wait staff for dinner were great!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Nicest ship I have been on. We noticed some public restrooms were out of soap which is not great on a cruise ship.

Disembarkation

If you carry off your bags you can leave at 7:20. We were in our car by 8:00. The rest will have an assigned time based on your room location. Rooms must be vacated by 7:30.
I was on the Seascape last January and had an amazing time. Too many people put down MSC cruises cause it's not an American based cruise line but more catering to Italians and other people from Mediterranean countries. I also find there are way too many people who nit pick on every cruise and just look for petty grievances, so take any review with a grain of salt
