Review summary

A big disappointment.

Having recently been on cruises with Celebrity and Holland America, MSC are a distant 3rd on accommodation, service and food!

Venice is a poor port to embark/disembark from.......will advise all friends to avoid.

The food is not of a high standard and the "smash and grab" buffet was a disaster.

I have to be honest and say "never again MSC".

The cabin was way below standard of competitors and not thoroughly cleaned before boarding. Cabin butler.........non existent!

A tip, the Sports bar will look after you well. It has friendly staff and is the only place we found that has a good selection of beer.

It is not worse than P&O (apart from theatre entertainment) just different. Very Italian. You will have a blast.

Thanku i hope so we are sooo looking forward to it...was worried about some of the negative comments in here,have only done a short cruise with p&0 ...its my husbands first so dont want to disappoint him...the greek islands look amazin,so does the ship 😃

Yes, in dispensers. Orange is shampoo and blue is body wash.

We on magnifica on sat from venice with friends.. we got the all inc drinks package and cant wait really hope these negative comments are wrong 😊

The MSC Preziosa was a better experience than the Magnifica. Neither was bad.

We have cruised a fair bit with Celebrity, Cunard, P&O and four times with MSC. MSC are different. Very Italian. The ships are very clean, the service is good in the main, but they are not floating Nursing homes, all age groups are there as are all nationalities. We like that. The food is pretty good, the entertainment below par, but the value is excellent. Celebrity is still our favourite so far but £320 for 7 nights in the Med in a balcony cabin? Cheaper than staying at home. Had a great time. Try it. Be prepared that it will be different, not necessarily worse. The drinks packages cannot be beaten. Eat in the main dining room as much as possible.
