If there is, it’s definitely not enforced. One guy at my table last cruise wore shorts and the same hoodie sweat shirt all four nights (which was fine with everyone at the table). He was comfy! Some of the ladies wore sundresses for the “dress-up” night — I can’t remember what they call it.

On the longer cruises they more strongly suggest no shorts/flipflops in MDR. Dressy shorts, not swim suits-fine. Longer cruises have Chic Nights. No one dresses in formals, but nice dresses/pants enhanced w sparkly jewelry/scarves, nicer classy tops. They serve the nicer food, steak, lobster tail, fine desserts that night. It's a fun time to dress up, go to the theater, etc. Get Prof. photo taken that night. You may not ever do that again!!
