This was the first cruise that my husband and I had ever been on, and it was such a great experience that we are already planning the next one. Many thanks to MSC and the super awesome staff members that made this experience amazing. We felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Embarkation experience was not good. This was the very first cruise that my husband and I went on and there seemed to be an assumption or expectation for us to just know things. We followed the instructions provided in our packet, but even with that, there were some things that required additional direction upon arrival and we just didn't get that. Thankfully, the trip was so great overall that it made up for the poor experience on embarkation day.

The food was pretty good. I liked the variety. The customer service provided by staff made the food and drinks even more pleasant. There was a new sangria mix that my husband and I were asked to try and it was really, really good!

Special shout out to MSC buffet attendant Cherily Abelo, Lighthouse Restaurant waiters Chuckie and JonJon, waiter Salvador Franco, Photo Service staff member Mario Lazo, Greeter Umar Mukhtar, and our room attendant Lyn. All of MSC staff were kind to us, but these specific individuals went above and beyond my expectations of customer service. They remembered my name and my preferences, and if I chose to switch up my daily activities, they knew that I was missing. LOL! After a while, they started to feel like family because they did so much to make me feel comfortable and welcome.
My husband and I did the dinner in the dunes excursion. It was A LOT of fun. We really enjoyed the ride through the sand dunes, the camel ride, dancers, presentations, and BBQ; however, it seemed unnecessarily long. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because of the two hours where my husband and I sat doing absolutely nothing but waiting for the dancers and the dinner.
