Second time on Mardi Gras and love the ship. It was over 90% percent full and crowded in some areas, but really no wait for food, except for pizza. If you like megaships, you will love it! We will definitely be going again!
Embarkation

Very good, no problems.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was all good. Service was all good except in the Italian Restaurant. All three times we ate in Italian Restaurant service extremely slow and disorganized. Had lunch one day and dinner twice. The second time we had dinner it took 25 minutes to get water and bread. Food was fine, service bad. The service in Main Dining Room was excellent, in and out before an hour's time and food was good. I would give a 5 except for Italian.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Spent most of time during day by the pool. Was on the ship in December and Serenity was Serenity and so nice. This time it was loud and very crowded. I cannot believe they were blasting music in Serenity! It was actually quieter on the Lido Deck the last day, go figure! There were some loud groups but I think Serenity needs to be controlled a little better and definitely do no blast music!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Loved the shows and the Center Stage feeling! Also, enjoyed Owen Stephen so much!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Juliet was great as room steward and Angel is the best towel lady on Serenity ever!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Love the ship's design and layout. It is big, but very easy to figure out. Ship was very clean besides the rude people that left a dirty diaper and empty beer can in elevator. Carnival cannot control ignorant people so can't blame that on them.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was fine, but kept hearing noises at night. Not sure what it was. We had an inside cabin on 11 last time and it was so quiet and slept so well. Showers are nice sized, but other area very small in bathroom. We usually book inside since we don't go on a cruise to stay in our room!
Ship tip
Mardi Gras is very nice and very big. You will be walking a lot, but ship is really laid out nice and easy to get around.
We are platinum and told to meet at 7:30. They started disembarkation early around 7:10 so we were just mixed up in the crowd. Could not get an elevator so had to carry suitcases down 10 flights of stairs. A little crazy!
