We thoroughly enjoyed being back at sea after a two year break thanks to Covid. We wore mask sometimes. It was required in all shops and when walking into the dining area, until you sat down. And in most shows unless you had a drink. It was otherwise unclear when to wear a mask. Hand washing was available everywhere but it was up to you to use it, no one standing in the doorway to squirt your hands. We didn’t hear of anyone being sick or quarantined.
Embarkation

Fairly smooth process with minimal lines
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Palm Dining room was nice and not crowded. Our wait staff was exceptional, like wait staff used to be. MarketPlace was a great variety and seating was always available! Special dining opportunities were of such a broad range and each we tried was exceptional. The ship has so many dining experiences and many for no additional charge!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The pools were beautiful and were not overly crowded. Seating, weather in the sun or shade was plentiful. I didn’t ride the roller coaster but it was fun to watch, as was the climbing experience and the water slide. Miniature golf is a fun course and free.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The main shows were very good but not overly impressive. The Mardi Gras Theater was beautiful with air circulation through the seat backs. The midship entertainment and staging was awesome. Even beyond that was it becoming a huge ocean view at times or exhibiting lifelike images!
Children's Programs
My husband and I travelled alone.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was extremely attentive and friendly whether assisting you or meeting you in the hall. Our Palm Dining waiters, Badra, Gede, and Ed, we’re like dining on ships used to be with their attentiveness. We were disappointed with housekeeping cutting back to one visit per day, how do you choose between morning makeup or turndown service at night and fresh towels. I consider that a huge negative change. Our steward was very attentive though and willingly filled our ice bucket both AM and PM.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
There is no doubt the ship is huge, but it has very little large open space. The public areas curve around shops and showroom’s resembling a house we would call “ cut up”. I heard many comments from others who missed the wide open promenades. Though it never felt overly crowded, we were told we were at about 80% capacity, and I’m not sure how some of the tight spaces may feel when sailing at maximum.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved our balcony cabin. The size was great. Our balcony was a smaller one, accommodating only two chairs and a small table, no lounge. But morning room service with coffee and cereal was perfect!
The bathroom is a little small but adequate. The shower is slightly larger than average. No wraparound curtain but a beautiful glass door that swings on a hinge that gives you more space.
Ship tip
Don’t miss the midship shows, they are great! Don’t miss the military appreciation show, it’s well above the usual and the cruise director does a great job. Get ready to walk A-LOT. A rear of the ship cabin would have been more convenient. Ship shopping is limited and poor selections, very disappointing !!!
