Review summary

There were three separate and distinct groups of passengers — the French, the English speakers (mostly Australian) and some Chinese. We found the French to be snobbish and unfriendly.

The pianist on board was fantastic. We enjoyed his playing very much.

Service and Staff

Some of the expedition staff gave conflicting instructions which was very confusing on two occasions. The cabin steward was a gem as were the restaurant wait staff.

Ship tip

We were in the very front of the ship which is rougher than midship, but it was lovely having the balcony and also nice to be on deck five and close to the deck 6 lounge.

It was too icy to get into our anchor point the first night and thus our midnight cruise shore excursion was cancelled and they didn’t rebook us on the daytime boat trip because it was a,ready full. Fortunately, we were able to book our own ice cruise independently

Kangerlussuaq, Greenland

It was just our final docking point tpfor exiting the ship — at 5:00 am.
