Review summary

Ponant has beautiful ships. The service was excellent EXCEPT for the front desk and management as no one went out of their way to be friendly or help do anything. Be careful of the excursions as some are good and some are a waste of money as some of the places are free to get inside anyway. If you speak French you will receive much better service than if you speak English only.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was a bit bland, however they did their best to make a plentiful menu. Lunches were great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There is not much to do once on board, however most of us simply enjoyed cruising, and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room attendant, Jean was amazing as were all of the waiters and bartenders. However, the front desk staff is inefficient, unfriendly and useless - really a turn off to Ponant. The management did not do all that much but walk around the boat as they do not do much in way of customer service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean as can be and absolutely beautiful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Clean, modern and large since we had two rooms, two bathrooms, and two closets - while the balcony is skinny, it's long and lovely to sit outside. Really suited us well.

Ship tip

Don't rely on the front desk for anything. Learn French if you wish for good service.
