Review summary

For a 3 night cruise, it is a great getaway. Well catered, staff fabulous and well worth the money. To sum up in a couple of words - FABULOUS & RELAXING

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was pretty easy & straightforward. I go on in a wheelchair and the staff are very supportive making it a very positive experience

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food on this cruise wasn't up to the standards of previous cruises. Having said this, we enjoyed everything that put in front of us. I think that the drinks have gotten a bit too expensive.

Dining Room

3 out of 5

The food and staff in the Horizons area are fabulous. To line up to wash hands to enter this area is seriously flawed. So many people in line, both sinks weren't working, it gets hot and, having a disability, can be extremely painful and stressful. THEN you walk a short distance and MUST use the hand sanitizer. Understand the need for cleanliness but this is overkill

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We attended trivia and bingo. I didn't find that activities on this cruise to be as interesting as previous cruises.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The variety of machines was good, staff have a good working knowledge and drink staff very attentive.

Atrium

4 out of 5

Quite often when there is a band playing (in this case it was a jazz band) it is just far too loud. Have difficulty placing an order at the International Café or with the wait staff, you can't hear what is being said. Had the same problem at the Service Desk. Staff speak softly and politely but can't hear them. Pianist in the atrium was fabulous.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff in all areas were just wonderful and very attentive. This is what makes the cruise so good

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love this ship and always find our way around easily. The only issue is the Canaletto Dining room with just 2 lifts to access or leave can be a problem particularly if you have a disability. Also there are no toilets near this dining room, need to go up to deck 7.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This cabin was in an excellent location to the mid ship lifts. We had the new luxury bed and it was just wonderfully comfortable. Cabin was a great size and it was kept very clean. I would love it if they brought back the eucalyptus shampoo, also I find it difficult to use the pump packs in the shower with my arthritic hands.

Ship tip

Canaletto dining room can be an issue. Access is only from aft near Vista, 2 lifts only and no toilets nearby. This dining room can be a problem particularly if you have a disability. Love the onboard sales day held in one of the dining rooms, watch the patter for when they are holding one.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No problems here, very quick

Just how a Princess cruise should be. Nice you can still cruise, and enjoy yourself. Best wishes on your next Princess adventure.
