Review summary

We knew that this ship was not one of the larger vessels. However, we had 7-1/2' to 14' swells and this ship lacked the stability for a comfortable ride. Possibly in better weather it would have been fine.

Food and Dining

Enjoyed the food very much in the restaurants. I would say as good or better than any of our other cruises. However, the buffet was very small and offered far fewer choices than I was accustomed to. Certainly not in keeping with the quality of the other foods.

Entertainment

The best entertainment that I have seen on a cruise. Good enough that we looked forward to the shows each night.

Service and Staff

We very much enjoyed the ships staff. They were very friendly and eager to make the cruise a pleasure.

Ship Quality

A number of areas on our balcony needed to be scraped, sanded and repainted. This was not a safety issue merely an issue of asthetics.

Cabin / Stateroom

The stateroom was nice but nothing special. I did however like the "closet" area. The room had a small "hallway" between the bathroom and the bed that was in fact, the closet. We were easily able to hang 15 days worth of shirts, slacks and suits. We had enough drawer space for our underwear, socks etc.

Pros: Entertainment was wonderful!

Cons: Vessel too small for comfortable ocean travel.

Recommends Golden Princess? No.
