We were on this ship for 22 nights and had a fantastic time!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We did 3 cruises back to back, but getting on the first time was quick & easy. The second cruise we had 30 people and the process is easy. The time depends on how long it takes the other passengers to get off, but once they are off, our procedure is quick. The 3rd cruise had 15 returning. All in all a simple turnaround.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate at the buffet for breakfast & lunch and dinner in the main dining room. The service was excellent! Royal Caribbean has really stressed service this year. The food was excellent (all 3 times, because we had the same menu).
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were a lot of fun activities. Sometimes the scheduling of these activities seemed a little off in the evenings. For example, there may be several fun activities all scheduled around the same time & then a big gap with not much going on at another time. No consistency, but we managed to find something to do. I figured the reason for this was to get people into the shops. Royal Caribbean’s TV is terrible! We don’t watch a lot of TV on the cruise, but we do watch before we go to bed or while waiting on each other to get ready. I understand they don’t want people staying in their rooms, especially to watch TV.
Their outdoor activities were excellent! There was soccer, pickleball, volleyball, dodgeball & basketball. The sports courts always had something going on & the times for these activities were good (at least 2 or more hours for pickleball).
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The main shows were repeated every week & were very good, but we only wanted to see them once. The comedian was on for two weeks and was fantastic, Steve McGrew. There was an excellent guitarist, Gianluigi Secchi, from Italy, which was on the ship all three weeks. The ice show was very good! There were 5 different movies that repeated for the 3 weeks. We liked that they showed them on the outdoor screen and in the theater too. We were very surprised they showed Bullet Train (especially over Thanksgiving with all the families- in the theater 2:00 in the afternoon).
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was excellent! Every waiter, room steward, bar tender, maintenance, etc. did a fantastic job!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This is now our favorite ship for Royal Caribbean. The layout was good, it was clean & an excellent staff. The fitness center was very large for a ship. Lots of areas to lounge. We became Diamond members on this cruise & the Diamond Lounge had an indoor & outdoor area, which we loved! Especially during Thanksgiving week we were able to escape the 840 kids onboard! 😜. We have been on a lot of cruises and we just found this to be an excellent ship (for us).
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We booked our cruise 12 days before the first sailing, so we were not able to stay in the same room. However, they moved our luggage (we packed our things up) and all our hanging clothes to the next room every time. It was a smooth transition.
Our first cabin was #6483 (inside). This room was next to the employees hallway & was sometimes noisy at night. I would not recommend this room. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. It was clean, but we had to crawl into the bed, because there was no room to get by at the ends.
Second cabin #3608 (ocean view). Very good location. There are no obstructed ocean views on this ship. The window was big and over the bed.
Third cabin #3540 (ocean view). Same as the above, but we were the last room before the theater. We thought this might be a problem, but it wasn’t at all. I heard the band maybe once or twice, but it was a quiet room.
All the rooms were very clean and well maintained. We have no complaints!
