Review summary

This was the ship's first consumer sale since the pandemic shutdown. Passenger capacity was about 50% which yielded no crowds and minimal wait times for things like dining room seating. Itinerary of a port every day was wonderful. We had the flexibility to make our own sea days when we wanted to. We will be happy when masks are no longer required, but all the other health safety measures were livable.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
husband uses a cane and agents pulled him into an easy access line which was wonderful

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was great except for the egg dishes in the buffet at breakfast, sitting too long on the serving table. In contrast, have never had better room service eggs - nicely cooked and still hot when delivered.

5 out of 5
didn't use any of these

Entertainment

4 out of 5

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
everything seemed clean and accessible, no crowds anywhere, elevators came quickly, emphasis on cleanliness in all public areas

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
enough storage space to unpack everything, attendant was very conscientious

Ship tip

Izume has very good food and drinks such as sake and Tiger beer that are not available other places on the ship
