Review summary

where to start, the crowds you need to battle are a joke, the drinks are below par it's hard to believe they are bartenders, $11.95 to get a movie for your kids onboard in your room, the foods average, $35 to get washing done and it's a few items only, if anything good to say I'd have to say the workers are friendly and nice, apart from that stay with princess cruises etc, royal Caribbean are a joke.

Me too this will be our first cruise on royal Caribbean in June!! So excited! I’ve heard many great things about Royal Caribbean 😊

I have been on Voyager, Radiance and Explorer not one complaint from me. Not having to cook and have my room done us wonderful. Going on Ovation next week I'm already convinced it's going to be fabulous. 😊😊

Sad, really, how things have changed so much over the years with all lines. But I do think there used to be exceptional waste. I remember Midnight buffets every night, late late night buffets (2am) and Grand Gala Buffets. Am I dating myself?

I have to agree with you. I have cruised with Princess & Royal Carribean previously. Today I have returned from a South Pacific cruise on Voyager of the Seas & I can see a big difference since my last Royal Carribean cruise 2 years ago, & compared to Princess. There seems to be a lot less staff, & they are all very busy, looking worn out. Royal Carribean have outpriced themselves as well, for example, I purchased a watch in May last year on Princess ship, it was AUD $75.00. Same brand, similair watch started at US $92.00. Cocktails/alcohol expensive (increased 50% since 2 years ago in US $) compared to Princess & laundry overpriced. TV channels had plenty of US news, but only had old tv shows (like 20-30 years old) & if you wanted to watch a new/recent release movie you had to pay. Also movies under the stars included Crocodile Dundee, The Dish, Dirty Dancing. Movies under the stars is a joke, view is obscured over most of the deck, & why would I want to watch old movies. Royal Carribean reaks of out pricing themselves & expecting their customers to be suckers to their crap TV & old movies. We did get to see latest Planet of the Apes movie in 3D, also screened Thor Ragnorak 3D & Wonder Woman 3D in La Scala theatre. I feel for the staff, they all work very hard, with less staff to bigger ship. And yes the food has definitely gone downhill. I had escargot entree in dining room, they were cut in half. Scallops were approx 1 cm round, I felt very ripped off. In general their food wasnt nearly as good as previous Royal Carribean cruises.
