Review summary

Just off EOS. Ship great, cabin great, great amenities, best coffee afloat (Cafe Promenade), crew great (but dead tired - run off their feet), food disappointing in MDR. Food in 'Chops Grille' first class but paid extra. 'Chops Grille' food equivalent to complimentary food in MDR of Celebrity 'Solstice' and 'Equinox' in my opinion. Had hell of a time trying to get drinks in MDR, all other bars great service. Appeared to be no waiter service on deck nor food. Little stock in ship retail shops as replacement stock did not arrive before departure. Shows very disappointing. Best act was an Elvis show put on by a passenger. When compared to Celebrity and NCL lines I find RCI a great disappointment. I have 2-cruises with RCI next year - I hope they lift their game. I give both Celebrity and NCL 5 stars. Smooth sailing with mixed weather. We had to miss a port due to weather, no fault of ship.

I went on this cruise not for the ports of call but to experience the ship. I gave a low rating purely based on MDR food alone. I have been on a number of Celebrity and NCL cruises and the food and menu selections have been fantastic. I enjoyed the amenities aboard but the food.....a great disappointment. Also the MDR waiters while great guys had no idea about wine and what would pair well with the food. Both Celebrity and NCL staff have fantastic wine knowledge.

We had 2 X formal, 2 X tropical, 70's and white party

For theme nights you're pretty safe if you plan for two formal, one white, one tropical and one 70s. I'd agree with Marky that the shows (except for the ice skating) and most of the food were second rate (we were on the same cruise)

That's a shame as we went with Explorer last Feb then again in November could not fault anything, even entertainment was great. we loved it that much we are sailing in 8 weeks to Seattle so hope it's as good as the last 2.

Must add that ice show was the exception and very good.
