You can pick up your souvenir cup, which is included in all drink packages at any bar. The cup can be used at any Freestyle machine or you can get fountain soda at any bar or restaurant.

You only need the cup to use the machines. My last ship had only 2 machines, both in the cafeteria and they were out of product or operation about 25 percent of the time. They provide a fabulous selection when working but they need to rethink the program for better access!

you need your cup to use the Freestyle machines (self service), you do not need the cup when getting your don't drink from a bar in the Windjammer, or in the MDR.

Cups are no longer left in your stateroom you need to get them from a bartender.

If you purchase any of Royal's beverages packages you NOW need to pick-up the Freestyle machine cup from a table along the Promenade on embarkation or at select bars. The souvenir style travel cup is nice to have but other than for the self serve soda machine it's not needed.
