Part 2 - If you have traditional dining, you are assigned the same table each night (the table # will be on your Sea Pass card). The 1st night the staff will show you to your table, after that you just walk right to it. You will have the same tablemates the entire cruise unless someone requests a change.

If you’ve already booked your cruise, you can call Royal and pay for your gratuities before your cruise. If you have one of the set dining times, you will be at the same table each night. We’ve always had a table to ourselves. If you are doing My Time Dining and don’t make reservations, you will be seated at a different table each night. You can make reservations for My Time Dining and ask to sit at the same table each night. Enjoy your cruise.

As others have stated, you can prepay gratuities - just call Royal to set it up. As for dining, I'm not sure of the system they use for assigning tables, but if you do not request anything, it sure seems random. We request a table for 2 if we are traveling alone or a table for 4 if traveling with another couple. Give Royal a call if you want a specific table size.

Yes on the gratuity, you will have the option when you book your cruise.You will have the same table every night,with the same people, unless you request something different.
