It was too short, I enjoyed the cruise despite some nuances. The Wish seems overly hyped and they seem to fully book these sailings making it uncomfortable sometimes with the crowd.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We had a 12pm check-in time and once they changed the signs from the 11am group to the 12pm, people started rushing (pushing and shoving children including ours) to get to the line. Grown adults acting barbaric, it was ridiculous! A crew member had to stop people from shoving.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Something Disney does right is the food. It was high quality and delicious. You can’t go wrong with their selections on all three main dining rooms. The only downside is the Marceline market, they give very tiny portions and what they put on display is not the same as what they give you. For example, for breakfast, I asked for a cup of fruit that had a beautiful array of blueberries, kiwi, melon, etc on display. What I received was pieces of pineapple and melon that was only half filled. On the day of disembarkation, a woman was screaming at the crew member to put more food on her plate. The way the crew member puts food on your plate is as if it’s charity and you’re begging for food versus you being a paying customer.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
It was raining when we were in Nassau, so we stayed on board. There really wasn’t that many things to do. We had a toddler with us that was 2 years old and there weren’t that many activities for our little one to do.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The theatrical show was amazing! It’s definitely something to look forward to and should not be skipped. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
Long lines for character meets and unless your child is 3 years old and above there’s no kid clubs for them. They should have a play area with toys where parents can relax while their child plays.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff were wonderful and accommodating. I just felt with these short itineraries, the crew members look over worked and uneasy.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Disney puts into detail every aspect of cleanliness and quality in all they do. I appreciate that I don’t have to worry about the bed having clean sheets on them or newly put towels.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We were in deck 9 and it was beautiful. It’s a new ship, so everything was still nice looking.
Ship tip
Expect lines for everything! If you can walk, take the stairs. Also, you’re not guaranteed a private table unless you’re concierge or higher tier castaway cay member, so you’re going to be seated with strangers and it’ll be the same people on all three main dining rooms.
Thanks for the review! I’ve definitely wondered how the Marcelline experience is for people and not being able to choose portion sizes. My cruise on the Wish sails in 3.5 weeks and I plan to stick to the main dining room for breakfast and Festival of Foods for lunch.
